An interesting conference for Germanic linguists will be held from 14-15 May 2016 at the University of York. The theme is: "Interrogating the 'Germanic': a category and its use in Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages".
The Application deadline is 27 January 2015 ("We welcome abstracts (max. 250 words) on issues relating to the use of this category, either in the study of Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages or as used by the contemporaries of this span of time").
